About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant Apprentice to join our team at AdventHealth Rocky Mountain. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to our patients and families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clerical and administrative support to our healthcare team, including reception, telephone, and medical records management.
  • Assist with patient care activities, such as vital signs, EKG, and documentation in our electronic medical record system.
  • Collaborate with our healthcare team to identify and meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of our patients.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with our patients and families, providing a high level of customer service and support.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; enrollment in AHMG-based Medical Assistant training/apprenticeship program preferred.
  • Minimum of one year of medical office experience or less; CMA-eligible after one year of working experience or one year after graduation from MA program.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from American Heart Association required within 90 days of employment.
