- Consult and guide specific employee and labor relations issues or situations and matters related to the administration of contracts, employee discipline, and grievance procedures.
- Develop and uphold the organizational collective bargaining agreement negotiation framework and partner with business unit leaders, and asset HR Teams, to develop a negotiation strategy for collective bargaining.
- Work with site leadership and Sr. Manager, US Labor Relations to assess capability for possible outcomes and develop an execution plan to deliver on the negotiation's mandates.
- Support appropriate collective bargaining training for the negotiating committees.
- Liaison between management and hourly employees by handling questions, interpreting and administering contracts and policies to assist in the resolution of Union/Management work-related problems.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, and Business Administration from an accredited institution. Relevant experience will be considered in place of educational requirements.
- 12+ years of relatable work experience.
- Work experience in labor relations, employee relations, or human resources management.
- Possesses a strong understanding of federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations, including the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA), Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) laws, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations, and relevant state and local employment laws.
- Possesses relevant negotiation, mediation, and conflict resolution skills to effectively manage and resolve workplace disputes and negotiate collective bargaining agreements.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are required to effectively communicate with employees, management, labor union representatives, legal counsel, and regulatory agencies.
- Ability to analyze labor relations issues, identify root causes, develop solutions, and implement strategies to address complex labor relations challenges.
- Ability to think strategically and develop labor relations strategies aligned with organizational goals and objectives.
- Strong leadership, management, and decision-making skills to lead a team, influence stakeholders and drive change within the organization.
- Commitment to upholding ethical standards, maintaining confidentiality, and adhering to professional codes of conduct in all labor relations activities.
