NALS Apartment Homes is seeking a highly motivated Leasing Specialist to join our team at River Walk at Puerta De Corrales in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

About the Role

  • As a Leasing Specialist, you will be responsible for achieving and maintaining optimum occupancy by leasing units and renewing existing leases.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lease apartments and convert telephone traffic to appointments
  • Tour community with prospective residents and send thank-you notes
  • Pre-qualify applicants and review pending applications
  • Notify applicants on the status of their application and move-in new residents
  • Review all necessary paperwork with new residents and accept payment as pre-determined by the Assistant Manager
  • Deliver move-in gifts and walk units prior to move-in, issue keys, and renew current resident leases
  • Notify residents regarding lease expiration and determine the length of the new lease
  • Review new lease terms with residents and move-out vacating residents
  • Complete all necessary move-out paperwork in an accurate and timely manner and retrieve all keys, passes, etc. from residents
  • Clearly and effectively assist current residents with concerns and needs to minimize resident problems in a professional manner
  • Maintain positive resident relations and attend resident functions unless directed otherwise by the supervisor
  • Perform additional duties, responsibilities, or projects as assigned

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a service/sales-related industry
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with residents, fellow associates, vendors, and supervisors
  • Self-motivated, exhibit a positive personality, and be sales motivated
  • Conduct yourself in a professional, neat, and well-groomed manner always
  • Walking up and down stairs to show apartments to prospective residents and lifting no more than 25 pounds
  • Valid drivers' license along with current auto insurance may be required
  • 40-hour work week
