Position Overview:

As a Systems Engineer, you will play a crucial role in delivering effective solutions to intricate challenges. Your expertise will be instrumental in customizing state-of-the-art solutions tailored to the specific needs of our clients. In this position, your focus will be on enhancing user experience while advancing your professional development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, configure, and troubleshoot server, storage, and application architectures.
  • Oversee the administration and maintenance of server hardware and software.
  • Manage Microsoft Active Directory objects, Group Policy Objects, and DNS zones/records.
  • Ensure system security by implementing practices and procedures, monitoring usage statistics and logs, and addressing vulnerabilities.
  • Establish and maintain baseline configurations and modify configuration settings as necessary.
  • Implement troubleshooting and incident response protocols.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to junior administrators.
  • Possess a deep understanding of networking architecture for effective server and application design and troubleshooting.
  • Stay updated on operating systems/software analysis and technological advancements.
  • Advise management on future project directions.
  • Contribute expertise in the development, modification, and documentation of software programs and applications to enhance operating systems.

Educational Requirements:

  • AA or 2+ years of equivalent experience.
  • DOD 8570 compliant (Network + / Security + certified).

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • 5+ years of experience in Systems Engineering.
  • Familiarity with VMWare vCenter/vSphere 6.7 or higher.
  • Experience with VMware Horizon VDI Desktops and Applications.
  • Knowledge of NAS/SAN storage architectures and protocols.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Server 2016/2019/2022.
  • Understanding of Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP.
  • High-level networking knowledge.
  • Ability to work at a high technical level across all phases of systems engineering activities.
  • Strong communication and briefing skills; effective listening and follow-through.
  • Detail-oriented and organized; capable of ensuring accuracy in information systems.
  • Provide technical guidance and leadership to less experienced engineers and administrators.

Desirable Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Experience with Cisco UCS Fabric Interconnects and Servers.
  • Experience with NetApp AFF/FAS Storage.
  • Experience with F5 Load Balancers.
  • Experience with Azure Cloud services.
  • Experience with Rubrik Backup solutions.
  • MCITP or equivalent preferred.
  • ITIL v3 Foundation certification.

Security Requirements:

  • TS/SCI Clearance Required.

Physical Demands:

  • Lift over 35 LBS.
