Electrical Infrastructure Engineer

Pay Rate: $60/hr. on W2 without Benefits
Shift Timing: 9x80
Job Summary:
22nd Century Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Sr. Electrical Engineer to provide infrastructure engineering support for our projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in low voltage power distribution systems, data center design, and power quality analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design low voltage power distribution systems
• Prepare single line diagrams and wiring diagrams under the supervision of an experienced engineer
• Coordinate design with other disciplines (i.e., civil, architectural, mechanical, structural, etc.)
• Adhere to company policy for accurate project documentation
• Complete a variety of assignments such as drawings, specifications, and other materials suitable for procurement and construction purposes, utilizing CAE/CAD as applicable
• Prepare standard engineering computations, material quality takeoffs, estimates, surveys, and designs
• Prepare detailed requisitions for low voltage equipment and materials
• Size conduit, conductors and overcurrent protection devices per the National Electric Code (NEC)
• Reviews small and portions of larger supplier drawing submittals and assists in performing technical bid analyses
• Prepare and issues specifications, data sheets, and other construction documents
• Provide input and technical guidance to CAD Designer/Drafters, Designers, and lower-level Engineers working on the same project
• Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate
• Perform field surveys and collect required data as per project needs
Requirements:
• BS degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited college
• 8+ years of electrical design related experience in low voltage power distribution systems, data center design, power quality analysis, lighting systems, grounding, lightning protection and Uninterruptible Power Sources (UPS)
• Must be able to pass government background check
• Working knowledge of the National Electric Code (NEC)
• Proficiency in AutoCAD
• Ability to work well under pressure and within budgeted hours and schedule
• Green card or US citizenship required
Preferred Skills:
• Previous experience in engineering consulting with federal agencies
• Working knowledge of FAA standards and specifications
• Familiar with construction practices and safe work procedures
• Ability to solve problems with persons inside and outside an organization to find mutually beneficial solutions
• Previous experience with lightning and grounding protection
• Proficiency in Bluebeam
• Proficiency in SKM and the ability to perform short circuit, coordination and arc flash analyses
