Job Summary

The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for ensuring the optimal functioning of the hotel's facilities and equipment, providing a comfortable and safe environment for guests and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on hotel equipment, including air conditioning systems, boilers, chillers, and electrical systems.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance on all equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure efficient operation.
  • Take readings on equipment and record data for analysis and reporting.
  • Test and maintain cooling towers, swimming pools, and spas.
  • Replace and program televisions, light switches, receptacles, and fixtures.
  • Perform furniture repair and replacement.
  • Repair and replace pumps, plumbing fixtures, and water lines.
  • Understand and apply blueprints and wiring diagrams to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
  • Perform work in accordance with local, state, and federal codes and regulations.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or related field required.
  • At least one year of progressive experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
  • Trade school and/or college coursework in a related field helpful.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Physical stamina to perform heavy lifting and bending.
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
Working Conditions

The Maintenance Engineer will work in a fast-paced hotel environment, interacting with guests and staff to resolve maintenance issues and provide excellent customer service.
