As a key member of our shop team, you will assist the Shop Technician in performing mechanical services on new and used equipment, maintaining company issued tools and equipment, and ensuring strict safety procedures are followed.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Shop Technician in performing mechanical services on new and used equipment, ensuring timely and accurate completion of tasks.
  • Maintain company issued tools and equipment, adhering to strict safety protocols and proper PPE usage.
  • Complete required reporting for service time, including writing service reports, allocating time to each job, and tracking parts charged and returned.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by understanding customer needs and deadlines, attempting to complete scheduled repairs and service as safely, timely, and accurately as possible.
  • Follow strict safety protocols, using proper PPE as required.

Qualifications

  • High school education or equivalent.
  • 1-3 years of mechanical experience preferred.
  • Understanding of work area metrics, takes responsibility for improving metrics and results.
  • Interprets and applies policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Responds to customer requests with a sense of urgency, treating customers as his/her highest priority.
  • Can project professionalism with both internal and external customers.
  • Knowledge of mechanical repair methods and processes.
  • Can operate industry specific PC and main frame programs with a basic understanding of MS Word, Excel, and database systems.
  • The ability to work overtime and weekends.
