About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer to join our team in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical and programmatic oversight of projects, collaborating with our VP of Technology and Innovation and CISO to ensure project progress and risk mitigation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical expertise and oversight for project development, integration, testing, and deployment.
  • Support the development of multi-model sensor systems for monitoring events in variable environments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide engineering expertise and advise on technical risk mitigation strategies.
  • Develop and maintain master schedules, accounting for timelines, interdependencies, and risks.
  • Execute and maintain lifecycle processes to ensure system design and development using mature and repeatable processes.
  • Provide technical subcomponent development progress and assessments.
  • Design, develop, and implement cloud solutions, including Azure ARM and other orchestration template technologies.
  • Lead teams to build automation and drive high-priority initiatives on Microsoft Azure Platform.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to develop complex end-to-end Enterprise solutions using Microsoft Azure platform.
  • Apply expertise in Hybrid Cloud, Hybrid Cloud management, and monitoring, as well as Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) Standards.
  • Provide level 3 & 4 technical support for AIS directory services and use ticketing systems to document symptoms and status information.
  • Assist in modernizing efforts by planning and leading cloud architectures to deliver solutions for custom-built hybrid cloud using Azure Cloud services, AWS Cloud, Azure cloud, and On-Prem data centers.
  • Provide Tier 3 support, monitor Office 365 tenants, and test performance for potential bottlenecks.
  • Automate solutions for improved efficiency, security, compliance, and DevOps enablement.
  • Lead projects and drive changes in AIS Active Directory and Azure/Office environment.
  • Monitor and analyze existing servers and storage infrastructure to provide cost-effective and optimized IT setup.
Qualifications

We are seeking a candidate with a Master's degree in Information Technology and 3 years of experience in software development, employing technical tools such as VMware, Microsoft Windows Servers, ServiceNow, Solarwinds Event Management, Symantec Antivirus, and Citrix.
