We are seeking a Mechanical Leader to enhance our engineering capabilities. The ideal candidate will be an accomplished mechanical engineer with a proven ability to leave a lasting impression on clients. We value a visionary leader who possesses extensive design expertise in HVAC systems for buildings, including sustainable and innovative strategies demonstrated in previous projects, as well as experience in nurturing and leading multi-disciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing mechanical engineering design for large-scale multi-disciplinary projects across various sectors including Commercial Property, Healthcare, Aviation, and Science and Industry.
  • Managing and guiding multi-disciplinary teams towards success, promoting a culture of innovation and technical excellence while fostering trust and openness within the team.
  • Building and maintaining client relationships (both internal and external), effectively communicating across various levels of external organizations to drive vision and culture in achieving project objectives.
  • Acting as the engineer of record (or alternate), responsible for designing mechanical systems such as heating, cooling, ventilation, air conditioning, building automation, and controls.
  • Integrating sustainable and decarbonization design methodologies into building projects.
  • Continuously seeking opportunities for future work for the team, managing large, complex, long-term projects while coordinating with other disciplines and external partners under tight time and budget constraints.
  • Demonstrating business development skills, including experience in preparing fees and proposals, with an established network within the architectural industry.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
  • A minimum of 15 years of experience in the built environment with significant project leadership experience. A Professional Engineering License in the US is required.
  • Proven experience in leading multidisciplinary projects and managing complex, large-scale client relationships.
  • A track record of successful work winning and commercial insight, along with demonstrated expertise in building and managing effective relationships with client organizations.
  • An experienced, dynamic, and engaging leader with a strong history of team management, serving as an aspirational role model for career development.
  • Ability to facilitate connections between external stakeholders and internal disciplines.

Noteworthy Projects: Recent projects include various state-of-the-art all-electric hospitals, significant refurbishments, and innovative facilities across multiple sectors.
