Summary

The iPhone Division is in search of a dedicated Systems Analog Design Engineer.

Join a dynamic and innovative engineering team focused on developing the next generation of iPhone products. You will be responsible for the design, implementation, and integration of various analog function blocks and subsystems, including power management, audio systems, battery management, and sensor technologies.

This role offers a unique opportunity to engage with multiple internal teams at Apple, including hardware and software engineers, contract manufacturers, and integrated circuit vendors throughout various stages of product development.

We are looking for candidates with experience in designing portable, low-power products, ideally within a consumer electronics context, ensuring high-volume and high-quality outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with cross-functional teams for system integration of function blocks, which includes schematic and layout evaluations, production testing, manufacturing assistance, system validation, and troubleshooting.

Engage in hardware prototyping and demonstrations.

Contribute to the drafting and reviewing of datasheets for a range of integrated circuits.

Participate in the complete IC design cycle, encompassing design reviews, initial setup, bench characterization, and issue tracking.

Key Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Strong foundation in analog and mixed-signal principles (noise, linearity, signal integrity in mixed-signal environments).
  • In-depth knowledge of mixed-signal components (amplifiers, codecs, microphones, operational amplifiers, filters, ADCs, DACs, output drivers).
  • Familiarity with low-power electronics, sensors, and sensor interface circuits.
  • Experience in prototyping, characterizing, and debugging mixed-signal hardware.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficient with digital communication interfaces such as I2C, SPI, I2S, PDM, etc.
  • Experience with programming languages such as Matlab and Python.
Education & Experience

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
