Job Title: Parts Counter Person

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Parts Counter Person to join our team at Roger Dean Chevrolet - Cape Coral. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a seamless parts sales experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the parts sales process from start to finish, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Communicate effectively with staff and customers, providing clear and concise information.
  • Converse with customers regarding parts status, using a professional and friendly tone.
  • Utilize the parts catalog to locate and identify specific parts, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Answer phone calls, provide price quotes, and respond to customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Review body shop estimates to verify parts ordered and pricing, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Provide high-level service to internal, online, and external customers, ensuring a positive experience.
  • Pull and fill orders from stock, maintaining weekly bin checks to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Notify the parts manager of out-of-stock parts or shop materials requiring immediate attention.
  • Locate out-of-stock parts from external sources and submit emergency orders as needed.
  • Ensure all internal requests for parts are billed on service repair orders.
  • Receive payment from retail customers or obtain credit authorization.
  • Maintain the counter area in a neat and orderly state, ensuring a positive customer experience.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent and prior auto parts sales experience (preferred).
  • Eager to improve in a dynamic work environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and time management skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety and maintenance documents.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts, including discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
