Job Overview:

Responsible for crafting a variety of dessert offerings, including pastries, viennoiseries, ice creams, and other delectable items.
Pastry cooks will rotate through different stations and must be adept at working in the savory section for designated periods, where they will be tasked with service and made-to-order dishes.
Availability for weekdays and holidays is essential, as is a flexible schedule.
Expected to work approximately 40-50 hours weekly.

Qualifications:

A strong enthusiasm and understanding of culinary arts, particularly in pastries.
Culinary school experience is preferred but not mandatory.
A minimum of 12 years of experience as a pastry cook is required.
Experience in savory cuisine or service roles within a restaurant setting is advantageous.
Must demonstrate reliability and a strong work ethic; tardiness and frequent absences may lead to termination.
Attention to cleanliness and adherence to food safety standards is crucial (NYC Food Handler's License is a plus).
Immediate availability is required.
Willingness to work during holidays and weekends, including early morning shifts, is necessary.
