Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Estimator to join our team at Jobot. As an Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates for mission-critical projects in the construction industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and deliver comprehensive cost plans and estimates for mission-critical projects, ensuring all estimates accurately reflect the project's unique requirements.
  • Perform risk analysis and identify potential issues that could impact project costs or timelines.
  • Utilize expertise in MEP to provide detailed and accurate electrical estimates.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local rates and incorporate this knowledge into estimates.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather all necessary data for estimates.
  • Review project plans and specifications to determine the scope of work and required contents of the estimate.
  • Present estimates to senior management and clients, explaining the basis for the cost estimate and answering any questions.
  • Continually monitor industry trends and advancements to ensure our estimating techniques and methodologies are current and effective.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in estimating for mission-critical projects in the construction industry.
  • Proven expertise in MEP, with a particular focus on electrical estimating.
  • Strong knowledge of local rates and the ability to incorporate this knowledge into estimates.
  • Exceptional skills in risk analysis, with the ability to identify potential issues that could impact project costs or timelines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Proficiency in relevant software programs and tools.
  • A degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Professional certifications in estimating or a related field are a plus.
