Job Title: Senior Behavioral Health Manager

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Behavioral Health Manager to oversee and direct our forensic operations. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and supervising staff to achieve agency goals. Your expertise in behavioral health clinical policies, strategic planning, and management will be invaluable in this role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, organize, and supervise forensics staff to achieve agency and department goals
  • Provide critical analysis and decision-making for forensics operations
  • Establish and monitor policies, procedures, and performance outcomes
  • Develop and oversee new initiatives and programs to enhance revenue and service delivery
  • Support strategic service transformation in line with the Department Strategic Plan
  • Ensure interagency collaboration and oversight of contracted forensic services
  • Compile, analyze, and report on financial and statistical data to improve operations
Requirements:
  • Extensive leadership, program operation, and management experience in a mental health care environment
  • PhD or PsyD degree from an American Psychological Association (APA) approved program with specialization in clinical, child clinical, counseling, or education psychology
  • Completion of a university-approved internship in clinical psychology equivalent to one full year of supervised training of at least 1800 hours
  • Two years of postdoctoral, post-internship experience involving assessment and treatment and either training, research, consultation, or program planning in mental health services, law enforcement, or corrections
  • Four years of experience working in a forensic setting providing treatment and services for adults with seriously mentally illness and/or youth with seriously emotionally disturbed
  • Five years of supervision or management experience in a mental health care environment or department
