About the Role

Amergis is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavioral Technician to join our team in the Carpinteria, CA area. As a Behavioral Technician, you will play a vital role in facilitating educational and behavioral services for children and adults with special needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement behavior management techniques to prevent, intervene, and provide consequences as needed.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support students in developing independent daily living skills.
  • Assist in facilitating academic instruction, SLP, OT, and PT development plans.
  • Document sessions and collect behavioral and academic data accurately and efficiently.
  • Strictly adhere to confidentiality requirements and maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Two (2) years of pediatric experience preferred.
  • Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice.
  • Participation and completion of Amergis' Competency program when applicable.
  • Current CPR and TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest x-ray if applicable.
  • Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements.
  • Successful completion of new hire training as applicable to job site.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with supervisors, coworkers, and clients.
