As a Police Officer at UTMB Health, you will play a critical role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our patients, staff, and visitors. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Enforcing laws and regulations to prevent crime and protect the community
- Providing exceptional customer service and responding to citizen inquiries and concerns
- Investigating incidents and gathering evidence to support criminal cases
- Collaborating with other law enforcement agencies and UTMB Health departments to ensure a cohesive and effective response to emergencies
Key Responsibilities:
- Patrolling assigned areas to prevent and detect crime
- Responding to emergency calls and providing assistance as needed
- Conducting investigations and gathering evidence to support criminal cases
- Testifying in court as needed
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
