Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Lactation Consultant RN to join our team at Menorah Medical Center. As a key member of our maternal/neonatal care team, you will provide expert lactation support services to breastfeeding mothers and their infants.

Responsibilities
  • Provide lactation support services and clinical management for breastfeeding mother/infants in collaboration with other healthcare professionals, families, and significant others.
  • Assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate the breastfeeding mother and infant(s) to identify and prevent breastfeeding problems.
  • Document care accurately and timely, and communicate effectively with all involved in mother/infant(s) care.
  • Stay up-to-date with educational updates, new technology, and research studies consistent with the International Lactation Consultant Association.
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program; Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
  • Current Kansas licensure required.
  • International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) certification required.
  • Demonstrates knowledge and practical application of theories and principles of ILCA.
  • A minimum of 3 years clinical experience in maternal/neonatal nursing.
