Job Overview

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on security systems.
  • Conduct site assessments to identify and address potential security vulnerabilities.

Requirements:

  • Must possess a State of Illinois Permanent Employee Registration Card (PERC) or have the ability to obtain one.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal formats to clients and office staff.
  • Ability and willingness to adhere to all Illinois Alarm installation and employment policies.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the low-voltage industry.
  • Proven expertise in installing and servicing burglar alarms, fire alarms, and camera systems.
  • Ability to use a computer and familiar with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • Knowledge of National Electrical Code, NFPA 72 & 101, International Building Code, or the ability to learn.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to drive in all-weather conditions.
  • Ability to lift packages and equipment boxes weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to perform on-call service (after hours, weekends, and holidays as needed).
  • NICET Level 1 certification preferred; if not certified, must be able to obtain within 18 months of hire.
