About the Opportunity:

TOTE Services LLC is seeking a qualified individual to fill the role of Marine Construction Specialist in Philadelphia, PA. As part of our Vessel Construction Management (VCM) contract, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and workmanship of the National Security Multi-Mission Vessels (NSMV) built by Philly Shipyard, Inc.

Your Key Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for:

  • Inspecting and verifying construction activities across various shipbuilding disciplines, including steel hull structures, welding, non-destructive testing, surface preparation, and coating.
  • Representing TOTE Services in matters related to NSMV construction oversight and verification, which may involve installation and testing of propulsion systems, electrical cable and equipment, fire/lifesaving systems, and deck equipment.
  • Collaborating with subject matter experts to resolve technical issues and develop solutions to complex problems.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you must have:

  • At least 3 years of experience in new construction shipbuilding, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality results.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs to manage documentation and reports.
  • The ability to work independently and under limited supervision, with a strong commitment to safety and quality.

Salary and Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary of $85,000 per year, plus benefits that include medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
