Job Summary

The Department of Emergency Medicine Research Program at the University of Wisconsin-Madison is seeking a highly motivated and organized Research Coordinator to join their team. This part-time position will assist in recruiting and enrolling research participants in the fast-paced emergency department of a Level 1 Trauma Center.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate clinical research studies, performing related tasks and activities.
  • Collect information, recruit, screen, select, determine eligibility, and enroll study participants and ensure subjects follow the research protocol.
  • Schedule logistics, determine workflows, and secure resources for defined clinical research trials.
  • Recruit, screen, select, determine eligibility, and enroll trial participants, collect information, and answer questions under supervision of a medically licensed professional.
  • Manage research workflow components, collect, prepare, process, and submit participant data and samples to appropriate entities, adhering to research protocols.
  • Identify work unit resources needs and manage supply and equipment inventory levels.
  • Serve as an initial point of contact for clinical research participants and clinical staff, providing information regarding research procedures, expectations, and informational inquiries.
  • Support operational projects within the emergency department under the direction of the Vice Chair of Research and the EDRC Supervisor.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. A background in research or a related field is preferred.
