This is a part-time position responsible for supervising students on school grounds and in the cafeteria or lunch area. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining order and safety, supervising students during meal periods, and escorting students between areas of the school.

• Supervise students on school grounds, maintaining order and safety in accordance with school rules and regulations.
• Assist administration and custodial staff in identifying and addressing unsafe conditions and faulty equipment on school grounds.
• Supervise students during meal periods in the cafeteria or lunch eating areas, maintaining order and assuring compliance with school rules and safety regulations.
• Escort students between areas of the school as assigned by the site administrator or other certificated staff.
• Assist certificated staff in supervising, escorting, and accounting for students, and in facilitating inter-staff communications in the event of a disaster or emergency during school hours.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to relate positively to students, staff, and the public.
• Ability to understand and carry out oral and written directions.
• Ability to stand, walk, and travel about the school grounds in the course of supervising students.
• Ability to see, identify, and monitor students and their activity, both nearby and at a distance.
• Ability to maintain the confidentiality of school-related information.
• Ability to maintain cooperative relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
• Ability to consistently model appropriate behavior related to a positive school climate.
• Possession of or ability to obtain CPR certification and basic first aid training.

• Ability to communicate in Spanish.
• Conflict management training.

This position requires regular attendance at workshops and programs that support student welfare and create a positive school climate. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
