Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant II to join our team at Great Plains Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing medical services related to diagnosis, treatment, and education to patients and families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess patient health by interviewing patients, performing physical examinations, and obtaining medical histories.
  • Determine abnormal conditions by administering or ordering diagnostic tests and interpreting test results.
  • Perform therapeutic procedures, such as administering injections and immunizations, suturing, and managing wounds and infections.
  • Document patient care services by charting in the electronic medical record.
  • Instruct and counsel patients on therapeutic regimens, wellness, and health maintenance.
  • Provide continuity of care by developing and implementing patient management plans.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with infection-control policies and protocols.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited Physician's Assistant program.
  • Current licensure by the State of Nebraska.
  • Certification with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration for prescriptive authority.
  • One year experience in a hospital or clinic setting preferred.
