Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Control Technician to assist and coordinate various machine controls with our Product Engineering and Manufacturing departments. The ideal candidate will have experience in electrical control system design, PLC programming, and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities
  • Install, debug, and maintain new and existing PLC-based control systems.
  • Provide production support by troubleshooting and resolving machine PLC-related issues.
  • Produce and update documents, including work/user instructions, functional specifications, detailed design specifications, electrical and pneumatic schematics.
  • Conduct machine functionality and fault recovery testing and participate in project startup and machine commissioning.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineers, Maintenance Technicians, Production Supervisors, and other internal staff.
  • Display a positive attitude towards safety and follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Associate Degree in Engineering, Mechatronics, PLC, Computer Science, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Electrical/Electronic/Mechatronic or similar Engineering degree/diploma/certificate or Trades Qualification and significant equivalent work experience.
  • Basic knowledge of software packages, including Allen Bradley RSLogix500/5000 and Factory Talk View Studio.
  • Knowledge of ladder logic principles, control for I/O, and HMI usage.
  • Demonstrated experience in electrical control system design, PLC programming, and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to work overtime as per job requirements.
  • Knowledge of industrial networks, including DeviceNet, Ethernet/IP, and IO-Link.
  • Familiarity with Vision Systems, including Keyence and Cognex.
  • Ability to read and understand technical documents and schematic design specifications.
