Job Overview

Volt is seeking a skilled Hardware Technician to join our team in Morton, IL. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting product development and sustaining engineering activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supports product development and sustaining engineering activities, including test, check-out, modification, fabrication, and assembly of electronic products and prototypes.
  • Works with analog and/or digital circuits, and test systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Performs operational test and troubleshooting or fault isolation on systems and equipment.
  • Assists in determining methods or actions to remedy malfunctions and ensures thorough familiarity with company policies and procedures.
  • Provides technical and support services to departments as assigned and contributes to team goals by providing timely support within the scope of knowledge and area of specialty.
Requirements
  • Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or similar degree, or Technical Certification preferred.
  • 3 years of experience in an Electrical Technician setting, with proficiency in electronic lab test equipment and electronic assembly and modification.
  • Knowledge of product validation testing, including Environmental tests, Electrical Noise tests, Certification tests, and Functional tests.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (WORD and EXCEL) to provide written product documentation.
What We Offer

A competitive hourly rate of $37.00 - $48.00, with pay range based on education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
