Job Summary

In this role, the Quality Process Engineer will assist in the planning, development, implementation, communication, and maintenance of the quality management systems, policies, documentation, data, and customer-specific requirements for GE Wind Turbines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop quality planning for units in the cell
  • Ensure executed processes meet site QMS requirements
  • Lead problem-solving and continuous improvement activities
  • Maintain QMS systems and documentation
  • Manage nonconformances, track and trend quality defects, and lead projects to reduce or eliminate
  • Ensure employees are trained to proper quality standard and safety requirements are met throughout production process
  • Maintain Quality Assurance and Quality Control of products, manufacturing processes, and sourced components within the Cell
  • Be accountable for all Cell Quality KPIs (Severe Events, Escapes, and CoPQ) and develop strategies for improvement
  • Provide Quality updates at all Cell QMRs and reviews
  • Proficient use of Quality systems (Power Now, Fiori, Documentum, Quality Suite, MBA Viewer)
  • Participate in Root Cause investigations and develop Corrective and Preventative Actions for identified Quality issues (RCA)
  • Perform Internal Audits, document and resolve Audit findings, and represent Cell during ISO 9001 and AS 9100 Audits
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams: Production, Sourcing, Engineering, and Customer representatives, to quickly resolve Quality issues
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in manufacturing or quality position or relevant military experience)
  • Minimum 3 years in a manufacturing quality role
  • Desired characteristics: transparent, focused, leadership ability, problem solver, strong understanding of QMS, ISO 9001, methodical thought process with acute attention to detail, and Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
