PURPOSE:
The Assistant Manager of Inventory Control is dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service across all job functions. This role ensures that the quality of products consistently surpasses customer expectations while maintaining a thorough understanding of departmental operations and inventory management.
The primary responsibilities include assisting in inventory management, processing essential administrative documentation, and ensuring accurate record-keeping within the department.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Foster a customer-centric atmosphere, emphasizing prompt and friendly service.
- Provide product recommendations to enhance customer experience.
- Utilize suggestive selling techniques through various communication channels.
- Handle incoming calls with professionalism, addressing customer inquiries and complaints effectively.
- Oversee store operations in the absence of the Store Manager.
- Monitor production processes in alignment with company standards and profitability goals.
- Construct and maintain appealing product displays while ensuring cleanliness and organization.
- Implement promotional strategies and seasonal displays effectively.
- Adhere to departmental standards and operational requirements.
- Evaluate employee performance and productivity.
- Possess comprehensive knowledge of all departmental roles and responsibilities.
- Assist in scheduling, supervising, training, and assigning tasks to team members.
- Educate employees on store policies, sales techniques, and record-keeping practices.
- Identify and mentor employees with potential for career advancement.
- Maintain compliance with company policies as outlined in the employee handbook.
- Ensure proper product code dating is consistently enforced.
- Participate in personnel actions such as interviews and promotions.
- Assist with biannual physical inventory assessments.
- Manage inventory levels to guarantee product availability and quality.
- Oversee ordering processes for general merchandise and maintain stock levels.
- Implement measures to control shrinkage and costs.
- Utilize appropriate product preparation techniques and equipment.
- Perform receiving duties, including verifying orders and inspecting product quality.
- Complete daily logs and maintain accurate records of sales and labor.
- Ensure compliance with temperature and storage guidelines for products.
- Follow all workplace safety regulations and maintain a clean work environment.
- Execute emergency procedures as necessary.
- Utilize technology for ordering and inventory management.
- Communicate sales goals and performance metrics to team members.
- Adhere to grooming standards and dress code policies.
- Perform all duties with integrity and accuracy.
