Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Building Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Pyramid Consulting, Inc. This is a contract opportunity with long-term potential, located in Kansas City, MO.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the safety and functionality of our facilities through routine and extensive preventative maintenance and repairs.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks in and around the building, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry work.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify and address safety hazards, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Diagnose and repair building systems and equipment malfunctions promptly to minimize downtime.
  • Maintain an inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies necessary for building maintenance tasks.
  • Respond to emergency maintenance requests promptly, ensuring minimal disruption to building occupants.
  • Maintain the exterior of the building if not serviced by a contractor.
  • Log and maintain detailed records of maintenance and repair activities, including work orders, materials used, and inspections.
  • Operate computerized Energy Management systems.
  • Respond immediately to emergency situations (fire, evacuation, equipment failure, etc.) and maintenance concerns.
  • Provide excellent customer service, responding to fix requests/problems in a timely and courteous manner.
  • Be available for rotating on-call and after-hours work requirements.

Requirements and Technology Experience:

  • Skills-Commercial electrical, HVAC, building maintenance, and power tools.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; trade school certification is a plus.
  • Proven experience in commercial building maintenance, construction, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
  • Ability to use hand and power tools effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Good communication, interpersonal, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, demanding work environment.
  • Safety mindset with knowledge of safety protocols and regulations.
