Job Title: Building Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a skilled Building Maintenance Technician to join our team at Della Infotech in Kansas City, MO. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and providing excellent customer service to our residents.

Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot work orders daily, prioritizing service requests and ensuring timely completion.
  • Prepare vacant units for new residents, adhering to company standards and checklists.
  • Maintain exterior grounds and conduct seasonal duties such as snow removal or pool maintenance.
  • Conduct regular property walk-throughs to identify and address any issues.
  • Prepare for inspections and schedule outside contractors as needed.
  • Be available for on-call duties and respond promptly to service requests.
  • Attend staff meetings and participate in other responsibilities as assigned by management.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (beneficial)
  • 1-3 years of prior maintenance experience required
  • HVAC certification preferred
  • Valid driver's license with insurance required
  • Minimum tools required: hammer, screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches, etc.
Essential Skills and Abilities:
  • Administrative skills: ability to understand company policies and procedures, track inventory, and sign-in/sign-out unit keys.
  • Analytical skills: ability to troubleshoot and draw conclusions, read blueprints, and consider alternative methods/materials.
  • Communication skills: ability to read and comprehend warning labels, service requests, and effectively communicate with residents and staff.
  • Coordinating skills: ability to prioritize tasks and service requests.
  • Computer skills: Outlook.
  • Leadership skills: ability to show confidence, motivate others, and represent the property at resident functions.
  • Manual skills: cleaning, snow removal, grounds keeping.
  • Maintenance skills: plumbing, electric, heating/cooling, carpentry, appliance repair, painting, drywall.
