Job Summary

The National Winter Activity Center Winter4Kids is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lift Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our winter operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our chair lifts and snowmaking equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of chair lifts, snowmaking equipment, and other mountain operations equipment.
  • Conduct regular maintenance checks on equipment, including daily, weekly, and monthly inspections.
  • Operate snowmaking equipment and perform mechanical tasks as needed.
  • Responsible for shoveling and clearing snow from loading and unloading ramps and maintaining proper loading and unloading heights.
  • Be alert for mechanical or electrical problems with lifts and take corrective action as needed.
  • Operate snowmobiles and other equipment as required.
Requirements
  • 3-5 years documented experience repairing lifts and mountain operations equipment.
  • Valid Driver's License with no restrictions.
  • Understanding of mechanical operations, diesel engines, hydraulics, and hydrostatic drives.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English.
  • 18 years or older.
Work Environment and Physical Demands

This is a physically demanding role that requires standing for long periods of time, up to 90% or more of a normal 8-hour shift. You must be capable of balancing, climbing, reaching, squatting, bending, kneeling, stopping, crawling, using equipment controls, and pushing, lifting, or pulling up to 75 lbs. You will also be required to work effectively at high elevations and function effectively in extreme cold weather conditions and other inclement weather conditions.
