Housekeeping Supervisor

Job Summary:
Under general supervision, functions as a lead worker in maintaining building interiors, ensuring cleanliness, orderliness and attractive conditions are maintained in assigned areas.
May be required to move furniture and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the work of housekeeping staff to ensure efficient and effective cleaning and maintenance of buildings.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Develop and implement cleaning schedules and procedures to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and effective communication.
- Provide guidance and training to housekeeping staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
- One year of housekeeping experience required.
- Ability to read, write, and perform arithmetic calculations.
- Ability to operate assigned tools and housekeeping equipment.
- Ability to work with chemicals and cleaning solutions.
- Ability to understand and follow directions.
- Ability to lift 30 lbs and perform physical tasks such as walking, stooping, reaching, kneeling, climbing, standing, repetitive motion, twisting, bending, sitting, pushing, pulling, and crawling.
Preferred Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED.
- Two years of housekeeping experience.
Additional Information:
The position is full-time, non-exempt State position with full benefits. Starting salary will be $15.86 per hour, which is approximately $33,079 annually with a 2.5% increase after satisfactorily completing a six-month probationary period. The primary schedule associated with this position is Monday - Friday 4:00pm-12:30am, with occasional weekends required. The shift associated with these positions are eligible for shift differential of an additional $1.20 per hour.
