About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Surgical Clinical Reviewer to join our team at Nationwide Children's Hospital. As a key member of our quality improvement team, you will be responsible for collecting and analyzing clinical data on surgical patients, ensuring the highest level of quality and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect and analyze clinical data on surgical patients, including preoperative risk factors, intraoperative variables, and 30-day postoperative mortality and morbidity outcomes.
  • Participate in ongoing training and conferences to stay up-to-date on the latest best practices and methodologies.
  • Collaborate with the quality improvement team to develop and implement data-driven solutions to improve patient outcomes.
  • Provide leadership and support to hospital-wide performance improvement teams, analyzing data and preparing reports for meetings and leadership.
  • Validate and submit NSQIP data for assigned cycles, conducting data audits as needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Nursing degree with experience working with surgical patients.
  • State of Ohio nursing license.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Demonstrates experience in analyzing and interpreting data.
