About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Surgical Clinical Reviewer to join our team at Nationwide Children's Hospital. As a key member of our quality improvement team, you will be responsible for collecting and analyzing data on surgical patients to improve patient outcomes and quality of care.

Responsibilities
  • Collect and analyze data on surgical patients, including preoperative risk factors, intraoperative variables, and 30-day postoperative mortality and morbidity outcomes.
  • Participate in ongoing training and education to ensure compliance with the American College of Surgeons (ACS) National Surgical Quality Improvement Program (NSQIP) credentialing.
  • Collaborate with quality improvement teams to analyze data and prepare reports for meetings and leadership.
  • Validate and submit NSQIP data for assigned cycles and conduct data audits as needed.
  • Provide leadership for hospital-wide performance improvement teams and analyze data to prepare reports for meetings and leadership.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Nursing degree with experience working with surgical patients.
  • State of Ohio nursing license.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data.
