Construction Manager

At Midlands Contracting, we are seeking a highly skilled Construction Manager to lead our project teams in the installation of sanitary sewer, water, and storm sewer systems. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, managing crews, and ensuring projects are completed safely and efficiently.
Job Summary- We offer a competitive salary range of $85,000 – $150,000 depending on experience.
- Our ideal candidate will have over 3 years of experience leading crews in construction and possess significant experience operating heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, and skid steers.
- You will be responsible for independently managing and training a crew of 5–6 people, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to complete projects successfully.
- Safety Management: You will be responsible for maintaining a safe work environment by enforcing company safety policies and procedures.
- Crew Management: You will manage and train a team of 5–6 people, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to complete projects successfully.
- Project Coordination: You will oversee daily project activities, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Documentation: You will be responsible for accurate documentation of project progress, including entering and tracking manhours worked and production quantities daily.
- Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a degree in a related field is an asset.
- Experience: Over 3 years of experience leading crews in construction, with significant experience operating heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, and skid steers.
- Licenses/Certifications: A valid driver's license and any other certifications relevant to the position are required.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds individually or as a team when carrying loads heavier than 50 pounds; ability to stand and walk for long periods of time; ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl throughout each day.
- Competitive Salary Range: $85,000 – $150,000 depending on experience.
