We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Post Cardiothoracic Surgery team at Albany Medical Center.
About the Role:This is an exciting opportunity to work in a high-functioning, dedicated team committed to delivering exceptional patient care. As a Registered Nurse in our Post Cardiothoracic Surgery unit, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive care to patients undergoing cardiac and thoracic surgery, as well as those requiring telemetry monitoring.
Responsibilities:- Assess and evaluate patient needs for, and responses to, care rendered.
- Apply sound nursing judgment in patient care management decisions.
- Provide primary and emergency care for occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses.
- Collaborate with the nursing team to create a Plan of Care for all patients.
- Direct and guide ancillary personnel and maintain standards of professional nursing.
- Graduate of a professional academic nursing program in which a Diploma, Associate Degree or Baccalaureate Degree is conferred.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of previous clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care.
- Possesses knowledge of quality concepts, principles, and problem-solving tools and techniques and demonstrates ability to apply in support of departmental and patient care quality improvement.
