Job Summary

The Network Engineer II is a critical role at GAMA-1 Technologies, responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the company's network infrastructure. This position requires a strong understanding of network protocols, cabling standards, and switch configuration, as well as experience with network management software and enterprise client tools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Network Administration: Maintain optimal network performance through effective administration and monitoring, ensuring secure and efficient access and authentication for all networked devices.
  • Remote Connectivity: Provide reliable and secure VPN support for remote users, ensuring seamless access to network resources.
  • Network Cabling: Oversee organization-wide network cabling installation, maintenance, and documentation, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Switch Configuration and Deployment: Configure and deploy phone closet switches, ensuring proper network connectivity and performance.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
  • Experience: 4-5 years of experience managing a network, with a strong background in network administration, infrastructure support, and security.
Required Skills:
  • Network Protocols: Strong understanding of network protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and HTTP.
  • Cabling Standards: Familiarity with industry-standard cabling practices and protocols.
  • Switch Configuration: Experience with switch configuration and deployment, including phone closet switches.
  • Network Management Software: Proficiency in network management software, including monitoring and reporting tools.
Performance Expectations:
  • Security and Access Control: Ensure secure and efficient access and authentication for all networked devices.
  • Network Administration: Maintain optimal network performance through effective administration and monitoring.
  • Remote Connectivity: Provide reliable and secure VPN support for remote users.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed and accurate documentation for network cabling, configurations, and administration tasks.
Working Conditions:
  • Location: The primary location will be onsite, with occasional remote work as required.
  • Availability: Must be available to respond to network issues and emergencies as needed.
