About the Role
We're seeking a seasoned Cloud Solutions Architect to create high-performance e-commerce platforms using automation, test-driven development, continuous integration & delivery, pair programming, and story-based iterative development. You'll work collaboratively with engineering and technical operations teams to build integrated, high-volume services.

Your responsibilities will include designing, scaling, and optimizing high-performance database systems powering one of the most trafficked e-commerce sites on the Internet. You'll also create robust database solutions, multitask across initiatives, maintain code simplicity and extensibility, reliability, scalability, and performance. Engage actively with team members to continuously improve engineering design, practices, and methodology.

You'll be responsible for working with product managers and architects to clearly define requirements, perform design analysis, and implement end-to-end solutions. A key aspect of this role is mentoring and guiding others in adopting best-in-class DevOps practices with end-to-end 'design, build, and run' responsibilities and developing code using standards-based solutions. Must appear in office 2 days per week; work from home permissible 3 days per week.

Technical Leadership
You'll be skilled in Jira, Teams, Slack, GitHub, Confluence, Zoom, Power BI, Azure portal, and Miro. Experience with cloud technologies and a strong background in Java, Scala, Groovy, Shell script, Chef, Spring Framework, Microservices/Restful API, Hibernate, SQL and NoSQL databases, Maven, Git, IntelliJ IDEA, Jenkins, Kafka, Elastic Search, Apache Solr, Azure Cosmos DB, Gatling, Apigee, Nginx is essential.

Salary Range
The estimated salary range for this position is $206,315 - $211,315 USD, taking into account factors such as qualifications, experience, skill level, competencies, and work location. Employee pay will vary based on local or state/provincial mandates and Gap Inc.'s quarantine guidelines after being exposed to or testing positive for COVID. For eligible employees, employee pay will meet minimum wage or minimum of the pay range (whichever is higher) based on city, county, and state requirements.
