Job SummaryThe Health Care Assistant I - Patient Access performs a variety of client care services in accordance with agency policies and in a courteous and professional manner. The role involves providing general health and contraceptive information to clients, performing clerical functions, and ensuring quality client care and excellent customer service.
Responsibilities- Provides direct services in family planning and is responsible for customer service skills in person and on the telephone.
- Must be pleasant, courteous, and helpful.
- Requires an understanding of, and commitment to, quality healthcare and excellence in customer service and the ability to practice these values in relation with internal and external customers.
- Supports the revenue cycle through accurately and effectively managing cash collections, verifications, sliding fee scale, daily closing procedures, charge closing procedures, and other related processes.
