Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bartender to join our team at The Inn at Little Washington. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, creating innovative cocktails, and maintaining a clean and organized bar area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional service to guests: Greet guests, take orders, and serve drinks in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Create innovative cocktails: Develop and implement new cocktail recipes, and maintain a thorough knowledge of classic and modern cocktails.
  • Maintain a clean and organized bar area: Clean and sanitize equipment, maintain inventory, and ensure a clean and welcoming environment for guests.
  • Work effectively with the service team: Collaborate with servers, hosts, and other staff members to ensure seamless service and a positive guest experience.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends: Attend training sessions, workshops, and other educational opportunities to stay current on the latest trends and techniques in the industry.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent: Required.
  • Minimum 21 years of age: Required to serve alcoholic beverages.
  • Experience as a bartender: 1-2 years of experience in a high-volume bar or restaurant environment.
  • Excellent communication skills: Ability to communicate effectively with guests, management, and other staff members.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment: Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in liquor, wine, and food service: Preferred.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office software: Preferred.
  • Knowledge of the local geographic area, competitors, and business trends: Preferred.

Physical Demands:

  • Frequent need to perform the following physical activities: Reaching, bending, pushing, pulling, twisting, lifting, and climbing.
  • Constant need to perform the following physical activities: Grasping, turning, finger dexterity.
  • Frequent need to stand for long periods of time: Ability to stand for up to 10 hours.
  • Lifting/carrying up to 30 lbs. frequently and 50 lbs. occasionally: Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs. frequently and 50 lbs. occasionally.
