Our spacious, private patient rooms are structured around the labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum (LDRP) model, ensuring that mothers remain in the same room throughout all stages of the birthing process, including recovery and the postpartum period.

Key Responsibilities

As a Registered Nurse, you will provide safe and efficient nursing care tailored to the specific age and needs of patients and their families. Your role will involve:

  • Implementing the nursing process through effective, relationship-based care.
  • Exhibiting technical proficiency in care delivery that ensures safe practices and positive patient outcomes.
  • Facilitating clear communication and collaboration to enhance patient care and streamline clinical operations.
  • Engaging in professional development and contributing to the nursing profession.
  • Demonstrating leadership that fosters optimal clinical and operational results.

Essential Qualifications

All Registered Nurses are expected to be cross-trained in various areas of the unit, including:

  • Labor and Delivery
  • Recovery
  • Postpartum (Mother-Infant)
  • Normal Newborn Nursery
  • Transitional Nursery
  • Level II Special Care Nursery (Upon Opening)
  • OB Operating Room Circulator
  • OB Operating Room Scrub RN
  • Triage
  • Antepartum

General Requirements

  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Adhere to all policies and standards.
  • Refer to departmental documentation for specific duties and responsibilities during orientation.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulations regarding the secure handling of Protected Health Information (PHI) for patients.

Experience and Education

Experience: A minimum of one (1) year of inpatient RN experience is required, with a preference for OBGYN/Women's Health experience.

Education: A Bachelor of Science in Nursing is preferred, but a Diploma or Associate's Degree in nursing from an accredited program is required.

Licensure: A current Registered Nurse license to practice in the state of Ohio is mandatory.

Physical Requirements

  • Frequent standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling (up to 50 lbs).
  • Occasional climbing and balancing.
  • Regular stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching.
  • Constant talking, hearing, and performing repetitive motions.
  • Consistent eye/hand/foot coordination.
