Job SummaryWe are seeking a Veterinary Assistant with experience to join our team. As a Veterinary Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing compassionate care to our patients, and supporting our veterinarians and other support staff. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting with medical procedures, preparing patients for exams and surgeries, and maintaining a clean and safe environment for our patients and staff.
Responsibilities- Assist veterinarians and other support staff with medical procedures, exams, and surgeries
- Prepare patients for exams and surgeries, including administering medications and taking vital signs
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff, including cleaning and disinfecting equipment and surfaces
- Assist with laboratory testing and diagnostic imaging
- Provide exceptional customer service to our patients and their families
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Experience working in a veterinary clinic or hospital preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
