Role Overview:

The Program Director plays a pivotal role in our innovative model, which integrates full-time leadership within partner schools. This position is responsible for overseeing academic, athletic, and enrichment initiatives for middle and high school students.

In addition to conducting practices and tutoring sessions, the Program Director provides ongoing support through motivational discussions, personalized guidance, and a compassionate presence as students navigate their daily challenges.


Key Responsibilities:

Program Planning and Execution (70%):
  • Identify and recruit students who will benefit from our programs and ensure their needs are met.
  • Cultivate a positive team culture and foster meaningful relationships with individual students.
  • Establish clear objectives and expectations for student performance.
  • Design targeted program plans that encompass academic, athletic, and enrichment activities.
  • Coordinate clinics, competitions, and events in collaboration with partner organizations.
  • Assist students in the college or career application journey.
  • Monitor and evaluate students' progress in academics, athletics, and personal development.
Community and School Engagement (20%):
  • Maintain an active presence in partner schools, building strong relationships with faculty and staff.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to keep them informed.
  • Forge connections with partner organizations and volunteers.
  • Collaborate with community groups to share resources and enhance program offerings.
Organizational Leadership (10%):

Demonstrate commitment to organizational values by optimizing resources, adhering to policies, and contributing to various initiatives.


Qualifications:
  • Strong knowledge of lacrosse rules and strategies.
  • Experience in mentoring or coaching youth.
  • Proven ability to set and achieve goals.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to exercise professional judgment and work independently.
  • Comfort discussing issues of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Willingness to engage in discussions about racial equity.
  • Flexibility to accommodate varied work hours and travel.
  • Proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
