Job Summary

At Syntricate Technologies, we are seeking a skilled Software Development Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for gathering and documenting business requirements, working with project teams to examine existing and future-state business processes, and developing software code based on reusability and approved architecture/design.

Key Responsibilities
  • Document business requirements that are clear, unambiguous, testable, and satisfy the business need in accordance with standard templates and adherence to department policies, standards, and guidelines.
  • Facilitate requirement gathering meetings to identify impacted business processes and document the project business requirements.
  • Develop and maintain the project backlog during Agile projects and work with the product owner to set priority throughout the duration of the project.
  • Understand project scope and actively monitor requirements process to maintain adherence to the objectives set for the project.
  • Work directly with project team members, including UI/UX designers, tech leads, solution architects, database administrators, developers, QA testers, and technical writers, to ensure understanding of the requirements, functionality, size, and scalability of the IT solution.

Requirements
  • Possess knowledge and experience of advanced principles, theories, techniques, and methods in the development and design of web applications.
  • Work as a team and individually on projects and tasks using Agile and/or traditional project management methodologies.
  • Participate in project review meetings and project workgroups.
  • Create, update, and maintain systems and IT programs documentation, including system and functional specifications.
  • Design and develop software code based on reusability, approved architecture/design, and in compliance with security and other applicable State of Michigan standards, policies, and procedures.
