Business Analyst Role at OpTech

As a Business Analyst at OpTech, you will be part of a team that delivers mission-critical projects in various project portfolios. Your responsibilities will include leading business process design, re-engineering, and requirements elicitation to deliver more effective solutions for our clients. You will rely on your experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, independently performing a variety of complicated tasks. Your creativity and latitude will be expected as you review, analyze, evaluate, and document business systems and user needs. You will formulate systems and/or solutions to parallel overall business strategies, leveraging your experience with business process re-engineering and identifying new applications of technology to address business problems and make business more effective and efficient. You will be familiar with industry-standard technologies, business process mapping, and re-engineering. Your responsibilities will also include preparing solution options, risk identification, and financial analyses such as cost/benefit, ROI, buy/build, etc. You will write detailed descriptions of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer programs. You will prepare and document Functional and Technical Specifications for solutions including reporting and data warehouse work. You will assist with business intelligence support and enhancements. You will develop and/or provide language for Request for Proposals (RFPs). You will assist in deployment and management of end-user reporting tools and platforms. You will work with IT and business project teams to understand reporting and data requirements and propose solutions. You will document and provide knowledge transfer to the rest of the Team for all solutions.

Requirements
Requires knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the Business Analyst field. Familiar with relational database concepts and client-server concepts. Basic experience with SQL to create queries for data validation. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision; reports to a manager and typically works with a project manager. Bachelor's degree in any major. Qualified candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.
