Job Overview

Primary Responsibilities:

The Material Logistics Specialist is accountable for the precise and timely handling, distribution, and storage of materials within the organization. This role ensures the seamless flow of incoming supplies and outgoing products, guaranteeing that clients receive their orders punctually. Additionally, the position involves oversight of warehouse operations, inventory management, material handling, transportation, and shipping activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting inventory management, cycle counts, and overseeing shipping and receiving processes, along with some machine operation tasks.
  • Maintaining cleanliness by dumping chip carts and performing sweeping duties.
  • Facilitating the loading and unloading of trucks, as well as moving various materials such as steel, skids, and drums.
  • Operating company vehicles between facilities as required.
  • Providing assistance to fellow Material Handlers in relocating parts as necessary.
  • Supporting Stockroom and Shipping Dock operations by packaging, organizing, and securing skids for delivery.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in basic computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, Excel). Familiarity with ERP systems is preferred, with Syteline experience being advantageous.
  • Strong mathematical skills, with the ability to work with fractions and decimals.
  • Experience with measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, and micrometers is preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills and a demonstrated sense of urgency are essential.
  • Capability to lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Ability to operate a pallet jack is required.
  • Forklift/Tow Motor experience and a valid license are advantageous.
  • A clean driver's license is mandatory for this role.

Compensation: $20.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.
