Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with neurologic disorders, including stroke, seizures, Parkinson's disease, and multiple sclerosis.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans that address the unique needs of each patient.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
- Conduct focused assessments to identify changes in patient status and report findings to the healthcare team.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Participate in unit activities and contribute to a positive, supportive work environment.
- Graduation from an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing program.
- Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the state where practicing.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift, move, and position patients as needed.
- Experience working in an acute care setting, preferably in neurology or a related field.
- Certification in IV therapy.
- Knowledge of electronic health records and other medical software.
