About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Licensing Specialist to join our team at Shepherd Insurance. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth administration of carrier logins and agency licensing processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carrier Relations: Maintain accurate and up-to-date carrier contact lists, including active and prior acquisition contacts.
  • Licensing Administration: Assist with accounting duties, including commission statements and licensing contract management.
  • Documentation Management: Organize and maintain digital documentation and data input into various agency systems.
  • Communication: Maintain consistent communication with agency-appointed carriers and licensing services.
  • Acquisition Support: Assist with acquisition processes, including carrier notifications and login maintenance.
  • System Administration: Manage and update licensing and carrier systems, including name and address changes.
  • Lexis Nexis Administration: Set up and manage Lexis Nexis accounts.
  • Contract Management: Administer new contracts and updates.
  • Licensing Appointments: Maintain up-to-date information on licensing appointments paperwork with various agency-appointed carriers.
Requirements
  • Experience: At least two (2) years' experience in a similar position is desirable.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with a variety of computer software applications, including Microsoft Office products and agency management systems.
