Position Overview
The role involves ensuring customer satisfaction through thorough quality inspections.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular inspections, testing, servicing, installation, and preventive maintenance of life safety systems, including those from competitive manufacturers.
- Acquire skills to finalize Service Acknowledgements with accurate coding using communication devices such as laptops and mobile phones.
- Adhere to a meticulously structured inspection timetable.
- Manage, retrieve, and store inspection records using a laptop or mobile device.
- Execute minor repairs under direct authorized supervision.
- Complete assigned inspections punctually.
- Undertake additional tasks as required.
Qualifications
3-5 years of documented experience in sprinkler systems is preferred.
Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, program schematics, and operational/product manuals.
Experience with hand tools is essential.
Familiarity with wet, dry, pre-action, deluge, and foam systems is required.
Demonstrates a strong aptitude for troubleshooting systems and executing necessary repairs.
Capable of performing physical tasks, including lifting and moving equipment and tools weighing up to 50-70 lbs.
Able to work in unconventional and sometimes challenging positions, such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high-lift equipment up to 40 feet, as well as navigating crawl spaces and above ceilings.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including on-call rotations, nights, and weekends to fulfill customer needs.
Exhibits a high level of customer service.
Ability to adhere to, implement, and follow safety protocols and procedures consistently.
Possesses strong organizational skills, a positive demeanor, and a quick learning ability.
Certification Requirements
Must possess ONE of the following:
- NICET III Inspection and Testing Water-Based Systems
- NFPA Water-Based Inspection, Testing and Maintenance
- ASSE I50I0 Water-Based Protection Systems
- Completion of a DOL approved Sprinkler Fitter Apprenticeship Program
