We are seeking a skilled Computed Tomography Technician to join our team at UT Health San Antonio. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for operating multi-slice computerized tomography scanners to obtain high-quality images of internal organs and tissues.
Responsibilities- Operate CT scanners to produce high-quality images of designated anatomical areas, adhering to established practices and procedures.
- Accurately interpret physician's scanning instructions and perform quality assurance on CT scanning equipment.
- Obtain patient history, explain routine procedures, and address patient concerns in a professional and compassionate manner.
- Properly use the Radiology Information System (RIS) and Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) to manage patient data and images.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
- Graduation from an accredited two-year program in Radiologic Technology is required.
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT) or registry eligible for CT license is required.
- Current licensed in Medical Radiological Technology by the Texas State Department of Health or the Texas Medical Board is required.
- Minimum one year of experience in CT scanning is preferred.
- Advanced experience in post-processing of 3D imaging.
- Strong IV skills and knowledge of power injector and contrast administration/usage.
