We are seeking a skilled Facility Porter to join our team and contribute to the ongoing success of our facility.
About the Role
As a Facility Porter at our yogurt processing facility, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of the facility. This role involves performing a variety of cleaning tasks, handling waste removal, and assisting with minor maintenance duties to ensure the facility is in top condition and ready for daily operations.
Responsibilities
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Empty trash and recycling bins to prevent waste buildup
- Clean restrooms, including restocking supplies to ensure a hygienic environment
- Clean and disinfect common areas to prevent the spread of germs
- Wash windows and mirrors to maintain a clean and visually appealing environment
- Dust furniture and equipment to prevent dust buildup
- Remove snow and ice from walkways to ensure safe access to the facility
- Assist with minor repairs as needed to maintain the facility's equipment and infrastructure
- Move furniture and equipment as required to maintain a safe and efficient work environment
- Maintain the cleanliness of the facility's exterior to create a positive first impression
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 1 year of experience in facilities cleaning or maintenance
- Basic knowledge of cleaning techniques and safety procedures
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
