This includes preparing the operating room, sterilizing equipment, and maintaining a safe and efficient environment for patients and staff.
  • Responsibilities:
    • Pre-Operative Preparation: Assist in preparing patients for surgery, including positioning, draping, and ensuring all necessary equipment is available.
    • Instrument Management: Clean, sterilize, and maintain a inventory of surgical instruments and equipment.
    • Operating Room Support: Assist the surgical team during procedures, including handing instruments, suctioning, and maintaining a safe environment.
    • Post-Operative Care: Assist in preparing patients for recovery, including positioning, monitoring, and ensuring a smooth transition to post-anesthesia care.
  • Requirements:
    • Education: Graduation from an accredited school of Surgical Technology or 5 years of experience.
    • Experience: No experience required if graduate of a surgical technology program, otherwise requires 5 years of experience.
    • Licensure/Certification/Registration: BLS Certification with a designation of either BLS Provider or Healthcare Provider.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Experience: Minimum of one year of surgical technologist work experience.
    • Licensure/Certification/Registration: CST (Certified Surgical Technologist).
  • Skills and Abilities: Strong communication skills, ability to work under pressure, and ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Physical Demands and Environment: Includes standing, walking, lifting patients and supplies, and exposure to various hazards.
  • Additional Information: This role requires a high level of teamwork, adaptability, and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
